Where It All Started
Hey there! I’m Alexandre Costa, from the charming city of Coimbra, Portugal. My journey into this venture began in the most unexpected way — over a cup of coffee. While sitting at a coffee lounge, I overheard a guy sharing how much he wanted a website but couldn’t afford it or find an easy way to create one. That guy was Fernando Cortes, a non-tech-savvy individual who dreamed of building his website using only his smartphone — anytime, anywhere. He had tried countless mobile apps, but they were either too complicated or too limited. Fernando’s challenge became the tipping point for me. I decided to create a mobile app just for him — no app stores involved. Enter YSites, an app that makes website creation as simple as filling in the blanks. Based on a single, versatile template, it even deploys websites to a Digital Ocean VPS with just one click. That little coffee chat sparked something much bigger: a drive to make tech accessible to everyone.
People / Problem / Solution
Right now, this is mostly a one-man show — me, Alexandre. With 25 years of experience in computing companies and a background in computer science (a degree and a master’s to back it up), I bring the expertise. But I’ve got some amazing friends who step in when there’s more work than I can handle. And, of course, I return the favor when they need it. It’s all about collaboration, not competition.
Here’s the thing: the tech world can feel pretty unfair. If you’ve got a big idea but a small or zero budget, most companies and even freelancers won’t even look at you. And even if they do, they’ll charge an arm and a leg. That’s the gap we’re filling. Everyone deserves a chance to bring their vision to life, whether they have a huge budget or none at all.
What sets us apart? It’s simple. No one gets left out because of money. If you’ve got a great idea, we’ll figure out a way to make it happen — whether it’s for a low fee, in exchange for equity, or even just a testimonial to share your success. The goal is to empower dreamers, creators, and entrepreneurs to launch their ideas without the usual roadblocks. And honestly? Seeing those ideas come to life is the biggest reward.
What’s Next
The future? It’s bright and ambitious. I’m working on expanding the ways I can help, offering more tools and solutions for people with limited resources. The dream is to create a community where big ideas thrive, even when others think they can’t. I believe the best innovations come from underdogs — and I’m here to prove it.

This little venture of mine was borne in Coimbra, Portugal, but thanks to the magic of the internet, geography doesn’t matter. I work with clients from all over Europe, USA and beyond.
